New Peer Specialist is just starting at the Philadelphia VAMC. And he is not the only one. Over 800 hired throughout the country. We wish him the best of luck in his new role. He is key to our systems approach! We need him and appreciate him!
Another City contacted us to learn about PHA’s See and Move in Tours. We shared the SOP and are happy to share with anyone else. Just contact us at PhillyVetsHome2015@gmail.com for the document.
We are so proud of this and are just going to brag and brag and brag. Great work PHA and VA!
Every week since August, our team has been meeting to continue to make improvements to the system that should keep all veterans off the streets. We have all grown accustomed to structure of the meeting:
- As a unified team, discuss the housing plan for identified individuals, while reviewing the list of units available
- Review the progress on PHA’s “See and Move In Tours”, research on Navigators, and plans for Philadelphia’s Furniture Bank
- Discuss how to share this collaboration
As I prepare for another meeting, I am stepping back at looking at everything we have done since August. Because we meet so often, the amount of progress can be misleading. But we are moving mountains! Great work team!
The Philadelphia Veteran Multi-Service Center staff have another reason to celebrate.
On August 6th, 2013, our team came together for the first time, a bit unsure about what we were about to embark on. Philadelphia hosted the fourth 100K Homes and Rapid Results Institute Veterans Boot Camp for 2013.
Through a perfectly executed set of activities, questions, and goals, the Philadelphia team confidently and in a unified voice, announced a set of goals to be achieved in the next 100 days.
